Fa la la la blah

I have a burning question on my mind. Do we always get sick right before a trip? Or are we just both constantly sick and traveling so it just seems like they correlate? We already canceled our Thanksgiving trip and mark my words: we will go on this Christmas trip!!! We have never been to Florida since my dad and stepmom moved there years ago, and in fact have already canceled one planned visit due to illness. (See? It’s our thing.) We haven’t seen my brother and his family in ages and we won’t see them again for at least a year and a half after this. We need to get on that plane!!

Can't wait to see the power bill for running these round the clock.

So I guess this is just my public apology for everyone sitting near us on our flight. We are the family where everyone has a hacking cough (bonus- only one of us pukes and pees along with that and it’s not the toddler!) We are also the family honking and blowing our noses constantly (except the toddler who will just wipe it all over.) Oh, one more thing. We are also the family with pink eye. Since my least favorite thing is people traveling sick and getting us sick, I can only imagine the Karmic payback that is coming to us. (Unless we are at last the great Karmic payback for everyone else who has ever traveled sick??)

Sort of a visual how-to for the most efficient spread of pink-eye.

Anyways, things haven’t been completely without holiday cheer. B had his preschool holiday party and I probably teared up 10000x because it was so adorable. He was so proud to show Mommy and Gaga his school and he and his friends and teachers even “performed” several songs for the parents. Words.cannot.express. And then the kicker- all the kids “made” Christmas presents for the parents and we got to unwrap them. I cried again, it must be all the viruses in my tear ducts.

Making little crafts with his friends! (Fine, picking glitter off his star from the performance while sitting at the craft table.)

My present. Aaaaaaaaa.

My present. Aaaaaaaaa. It is my favorite possession.

This one is obviously feeding off my lymphocytes at 20 or 21 or whatever weeks. He's consistently been a week ahead since, you know, stealing someone's life force makes you grow faster.
