We’re knee deep in that awesome stage where B has memorized most of his books and likes to “read” them to us. He is still camera shy about it though so he won’t let me take a video unless he doesn’t know it’s happening. (<- Respectful parenting!) So here is B reading Goodnight Goodnight Construction Site to his daddy. I know nobody else can really understand him and probably most people don’t have that book memorized to be able to recognize the words but trust me he’s saying them with pretty good accuracy! It starts with “Down in the big construction site the tough trucks work with all their might to build a building make a road get the job done load by load.”
Also, B is on another nap strike now. He just flat out won’t sleep. The only way to get him to is driving him around in the car and then that’s usually a crappy nap from which he wakes up crabby but still stays up until 10. If he just doesn’t nap he is generally cheerful and goes to bed around 8. I’m going to treat it as a phase for a little while longer but I may just give up.
Also, G and I just celebrated our 7 year mockuversary (dating anniversary). G thought it was silly to celebrate anything before we were married so he invented the term. We had a special guest join us on our date.
